Full body exercises tend to focus on big, fundamental movements. They require less time and are often more challenging, which means you burn more calories. In other words, full body exercises are efficient and effective.

Main Types of Full Body Exercises

Full-body exercises can be broadly divided into 2 categories.

Compound Strength Exercise
Traditional compound strength exercises that work multiple muscle groups at the same time. E.g. lunge to press, deadlift, Farmer’s walk, kettlebell snatch, Turkish get-up, squat-curl-press.

Strength & Cardio Combo
These exercises combine cardio and strength moves into one. Burns a lot of calories. Many plyometric exercises fall into this cateogy. Eg. burpees, jumping jacks, bear crawl, medicine ball slams.
