Add 1/4 cup of yogurt (or other soft add-in) This makes a smoothie thick and creamy. It also makes a smoothie more filling & nutritious.

Other soft, creamy add-ins include: Cottage cheese Silken tofu Nut butter Oats Beans

Add 2 cups of fruit.  Use a mix of fresh & frozen fruit for a smoothie that is thick & frosty.  Banana is popular because it makes smoothies more creamy.

Optional: Add 1 cup leafy greens  Greens increase a smoothie's nutritional content. Spinach is a great choice because it's very mild. You wont taste it!

Liquid sweetener works best because it blends into the smoothie perfectly.  Try honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar.
